6 pupils from Form 5 and Lower 6th participated in the European Youth Parliament regional session on Monday 20th February 2023. The competition involved debating current and contentious issues such as the mental health of convicts, the issue of toxic masculinity and the European safety laws in place for victims of spiking. Our pupils each insightfully contributed to the various debates, delivering proposing and attacking speeches and offering arguments on each of the motions. We are delighted that Strathearn School were declared joint winners with Portadown College and will now be progressing to the national finals in Liverpool in September. Congratulations Mia, Maeve, Sarah, Grace, Lola and Madeleine!
