Religious Studies AS Level
A2 Level candidates will study 3 modules:
1) The Gospel of Luke – building on AS level studies, the module will continue the analysis of the text of Luke, focusing on theological themes sucg as The Kingdom of God, Discipleship, Salvation History, etc.
2) Early Church History – a study of the Christian Church from 180-324AD.
3) A synoptic paper worth 40% of the A2 year (20% of the final A-level grade awarded). This paper requires students to compare and contrast themes common to both the Gospel of Luke and the Early Christian Church. These themes are then related to other aspects of human experience.
