Pupils from third form have been taken to the Somme Heritage Centre in Conlig. The students, who have been studying the First World War, were given a guided tour around the exhibitions. They saw artefacts and photographs from the time of the conflict, and heard recorded accounts given by eyewitnesses. They got the chance to experience the cramped conditions of the trenches and to listen to a very informative weapons talk.
