Junior Orchestra

strathearn School

Strathearn Junior Orchestra consists of thirty-five girls in Forms 1 -3, who meet every Tuesday afternoon for rehearsal. At present plans are well advanced for the Autumn Musical Evening, in which the orchestra plays a leading role. The orchestra’s wide ranging programme will include Rossini’s “William Tell” overture and a variety of lighter items.

After this, preparations will begin in earnest for the Spring Concert. The orchestra also enjoys regular social activities; after the success of last year’s visits to Indianaland and “Paint Me, Glaze Me”, members are looking forward to trying their chocolate–making skills skills at “Chocabloc” in the Odyssey Centre.
