Art Trips
Making exciting connections with the work of other artists is a central part of the Art & Design curriculum. As part of this process, the department organises visiting speakers and trips to mueums and galleries. In the past few years, workshops have been held by Sharon Kelly (artist), Holly Cowan (handbag designer) and Holly
Williams (graphic designer). For sixth form, the annual expedition to the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin is a highlight.
This year GCSE and A-level students have visited the Naughton Gallery, Belfast Print Workshop, Catalyst Arts Centre, Golden Thread Gallery, Ormeau Baths Gallery, Old Museum Arts Centre and The Crescent Arts Centre.
