Art Trips

Making exciting connections with the work of other artists is a central part of the Art & Design curriculum. As part of this process, the department organises visiting speakers and trips to museums and galleries. In the past few years, workshops have been held by artists such as Sharon Kelly and Jim Russell and past pupils have visited to share their life and study experiences.
For sixth form, the annual expedition to Dublin museums is a highlight.

In recent years GCSE and A-Level students have visited a wide range of venues, i.e. the Annual RUA Exhibition, Golden Thread Gallery, Ulster Museum, FE McWilliam Studio, Millennium Art Centre and the Engine Room Gallery.
